Brandel Material Company opened in 1949 in Whittier, CA on Whittier Blvd. Harry Brandel owned and
operated the business until 1965 when he sold the business to Ron Fought and Bob Ballash. Within a
few years the partners brought in Dick Fought to operate the business and Dick eventually bought
out both original partners and became sole owner in 1975.
In 1980 Dick opened the Pomona store as Brandel Masonry Supplies and after a brief time operating
both stores he finally sold the Whittier store to two former employees.
And, in 1987 Dick and a partner opened the Temecula store as Holmark Building Supplies. In
1997 Dick became sole owner of the Temecula store and changed the name to Brandel Masonry
Supplies.
Dick Fought owned both locations until December of 2005 when his daughter, Ann, and son-in-law,
Tim Bal purchased the assets and continue to run both stores as Brandel Masonry Supplies.
Brandel Masonry Supplies has been known throughout the years for outstanding customer service
and a wide-ranging knowledge of the masonry construction industry.
